Why water jet cutting?

The advantages and technology of waterjet cutting

With this environmentally friendly high-tech process, a fine focused water jet cuts a wide variety of materials up to a thickness of 200 mm (depending on the material) with high pressure. Mechanical separation processes often destroy the structure of the materials to be processed. Thermal processes, such as laser cutting, cause burns and fusions at the cutting edges as well as stresses, micro cracks and structural changes. Water jet cutting, on the other hand, works with a "cold" tool, the water jet and thus avoids all these negative influences.

No temperature load

Mechanical or thermal separation processes often destroy the structure of the materials to be processed. Water jet cutting, on the other hand, works with a "cold" tool, the water jet.

Constant cut

The fine CNC-controlled water jet enables the cutting of any contours with precise cutting accuracy, repetition consistency and very high quality. For the first as for the 1,000th cut.

Narrow webs/small holes

Due to the very fine water jet, filigree bridges and small holes are possible. Since the material is not melted, this also applies to thick materials.

Hardly any reworking

The cold cutting process enables distortion-free and gentle cutting without discoloration or hardening.

Almost all materials

Waterjet cutting is the most flexible method of all cutting processes, since almost all materials can be cut with the same tool.

Economical and efficient

One contact for all your material machining needs also offers you a major purchasing advantage. The process is particularly interesting for prototype construction and small and medium series production. There are no tooling costs.
